[求助] 請問文獻中edge-on orientation和face-on orientation譯成中文是什么？可以解釋下嗎？

原文摘錄如下：
The designed small molecules (SMs) provide comprehensively different molecular packing/ordering and orientation via the additional alkyl substituent group.

The control compound (SM1, R = H) exhibited a predominant edge-on orientation, whereas the newly synthesized SM2 (R = hexyl) formed a well-ordered preferential face-on orientation.

This means the backbone orientation can be altered from the vertical to horizontal direction through alkyl side-chain substitutions, which can significantly influence the charge transfer/transport and recombination and in turn the device performance in OPVs and PvSCs.
