詳情見(jiàn)以下: 有興趣可以郵箱聯(lián)系導(dǎo)師 Dr Bahim El Boudani (附上個(gè)人cv,成績(jī)單,文章如果有的話):elboudani@lsbu.ac.uk, 導(dǎo)師個(gè)人信息 https://www.linkedin.com/in/brahimelboudani/?originalSubdomain=uk 官方申請(qǐng)鏈接 https://www.lsbu.ac.uk/study/cou ... ral-engineering-phd sustainable end-to-end solution for 6g project overview as the demand for faster and more reliable mobile networks grows, sustainability becomes a critical challenge for 6g networks and beyond. to tackle this issue, ai-based energy management techniques show promising signs of optimising electricity use, reducing digital carbon footprint and environmental impact. this phd will design and implement intelligent energy management models for 5g and 6g networks that optimise energy use while relying on unpredictable energy sources and reducing carbon emissions. these models must prioritise critical network functions, efficiently manage non-essential activities, and predict energy availability to enable real-time adjustments. the phd candidate will collaborate with smart internet technologies hub and energy, materials and environment research groups. who are we looking for? open to any uk or international candidates. starting in january 2026. msc/meng in computer science or computer engineering or electronic engineering strong background in software design for communication or computing subsystems excellent theoretical and computing skills in the areas of network optimisation (game theory, ilp, np problem relaxation, lagrange optimisation) experience in programming languages such as c, python selection criteria: academic qualifications - you should normally have at least a 2.1 honours degree from a uk university or an equivalent qualification in engineering, computer science, etc. research and analytical skills - ability to research subjects using libraries, the internet, and other information resources, ability to conduct comprehensive literature reviews, experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, strong research design and methodology skills, ability to independently collaborate with stakeholders, and excellent academic writing and communication skills. established publication record (desirable). professional skills - project management and organisational skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and adaptability and willingness to learn new skills. software and modelling experience - experience developing and utilising spreadsheet-based models (e.g., microsoft excel) to an advanced level. experience with other software packages relevant to the discipline would be an advantage. communication skills—the candidate should be highly motivated, able to collaborate, have good visual, oral, and written communication skills, and communicate the work's outcomes to commercial, industrial, and scientific audiences. teamwork and collaboration - ability to work with industrial and academic supervisors, to work independently & manage time effectively within a research-driven environment. |
