我博士導(dǎo)師最近要招一個(gè)博士生，有興趣的朋友可以郵件 (maijia.su@unitn.it)聯(lián)系我！ 下面是在Linkedin招聘信息的轉(zhuǎn)發(fā)： 🚨 Ph.D. Opportunity at the University of Trento 🚨 📅 Start Date: November 1, 2025 We are inviting applications for a fully funded Ph.D. position in Ground Motion Simulation, Seismic Hazard Analysis, and Applied Statistical Learning at the University of Trento, Italy. 🧠 This project focuses on developing a regional stochastic ground motion simulation framework that captures site- and path-dependent effects for enhanced seismic hazard assessments. The work lies at the intersection of Earthquake Engineering, Uncertainty Quantification, Machine Learning, and Scientific Computing. 🔬 Supervision & Collaborations The Ph.D. will be supervised by Prof. Marco Broccardo, in collaboration with: – Prof. Ziqi Wang (UC Berkeley) – Prof. Mayssa Dabaghi (American University of Beirut) A research visit to one of the partner institutions is expected during the program. 🎓 Candidate Requirements – A Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree must be completed before the start date – Background in one or more of the following: • Civil/Earthquake Engineering • Applied Mathematics / Statistics • Computational Science – Experience with Python, MATLAB, or Julia and a strong interest in ML techniques are highly desirable. 💼 What We Offer – Fully funded 3-year position (with possible 6-month extension) – Tuition + monthly stipend – Access to a dynamic, international research environment – Life in Trento, a high-quality living environment in the heart of the Italian Alps 📩 How to Apply Email me at marco.broccardo@unitn.it with: – Your CV – A short statement of interest – The link for the application will be soon available You may also contact Dr. Maijia Su (maijia.su@unitn.it) for an honest perspective on the group and the Ph.D. experience. 📌 Please share with students or colleagues who may be interested! |
