美國Florida State University Professor Yanyu Chen 課題組招博士生和博士生后

We are seeking two highly motivated postdoctoral researchers and three Ph.D. students to join our research team (https://www.archimetalab.com/) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Florida State University (https://eng.famu.fsu.edu/). These positions are available immediately. Our focus is on investigating the mechanics of multiphase architected materials and the multiphysics of all-solid-state batteries. Responsibilities for PhD students • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers to design and fabricate multiphase architected materials using advanced manufacturing techniques. • Conduct dynamic experiments to analyze the impact response of architected materials. • Test the effects of external pressure and temperature on the electrochemical performance of ASSBs. Responsibilities for Postdoc Associates • Develop computational models to gain insights into the energy dissipation mechanisms of multiphase architected materials under high-velocity impact. • Develop mechano-electro-chemical models to understand the relationship between external pressure and the electrochemical performance of ASSBs. Requirements for Postdoc Associates • A Ph.D. in mechanical or civil engineering or a related field. • A strong background in solid mechanics, constitutive modeling, and multiphysics modeling is essential. Experimental experience is preferred but not mandatory. Requirements for Ph.D. Students • A master’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering with demonstrated expertise in mechanics is required. • Experience with mechanical testing and 3D printing is preferred but not required. Duration and Remuneration • The postdoc position is a full-time role with an initial appointment of one year, renewable based on performance and funding availability. The salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. • Ph.D. students will be fully funded, including tuition, health insurance, and stipend.
