招聘Research Engineer (National University of Singapore)

Job description The research engineer will participate in experimental research, with a specific focus on quantifying seagrass motion/deformation, flow response, and sediment transport. the research engineer will lead and execute flume experiments, data analysis and field sampling. specific tasks include planning and conducting experiments, running laboratory analyses, collection and analysis of data, and performing basic administrative duties. This position reports to the principal investigator at tropical marine science institute and is based at st john’s island national marine laboratory on offshore st john's island, singapore, with regular project reviews at the institute of high performance computing, agency for science, technology and research, singapore in the one-north research cluster. this position is for 1 year; after first year, renewal is subjected to performance review. Qualifications bachelor's degree in physics, mechanical engineering, biological science or related field good understanding of plant biomechanics and fluid-structure interactions proficient with basic microsoft suite prior experience with seawater aquarium facilities and/or field work is highly preferred. self-motivated, driven, and a keen interest in research effective oral and written communication skills in english fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
