?й??????????????????????????????????????о????????????????????????????nice???о???????????????γ??У????????????????qq289942311?????????????????panagiotis e. keivanidis????????,????p.keivanidis@cut.ac.cy?????????????? • gross monthly salary for full-time employment (143.33 working hours per month): ?3,060.94 to ?5,994.06, depending on experience, qualifications, and specific duties. cyprus university of technology department of mechanical engineering, materials science and engineering post-doctoral research associate positions job title: post-doctoral research associate (2 positions) location: cyprus university of technology, department of mechanical engineering, materials science and engineering research project: advanced spectroscopy research unit for sustainable light management (asperium) application codes: asp2024-1 and asp2024-2 job description: the device technology and chemical physics laboratory at the cyprus university of technology invites applications for two post-doctoral research associate (pdra) positions. successful candidates will be engaged in the research project ??asperium: advanced spectroscopy research unit for sustainable light management??. • position 2 (code: asp2024-2): this role focuses on the engineering and electro-optical characterization of uc-assisted photodiode devices for organic photovoltaic and organic photodetector applications. the position involve knowledge transfer activities with local small-to-medium enterprises (smes) in cyprus, as well as collaboration with external partners in abroad. the project is implemented under the programme of social cohesion ??thalia 2021-2027??, co-funded by the european union, through research and innovation foundation (small scale infrastructures/1222/0067). requirements: • bachelor??s and/or master??s degree in materials science, chemistry, physics, or a related field from a recognized university. • ph.d. in a discipline closely related to the position applied for (awarded before the contract start date). • excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • fluent in english, with strong written and verbal communication abilities. • proactive, with the ability to work independently and within an interdisciplinary team. 2 responsibilities: successful candidates will demonstrate strong academic performance and well-developed soft skills, such as analytical thinking and a flair for experimental work. key responsibilities include: • developing, utilizing and maintaining specialized laboratory infrastructure for research purposes. • processing data using specialized software (e.g., origin lab). • drafting technical reports and research publications. • contributing to research dissemination to both specialized and non-specialized audiences. desired qualifications: the following skills and experiences are considered a plus: • previous experience in topics relevant to the position applied for. • proficiency in labview for hardware integration. • experience in drafting research proposals. • ability to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student projects. • project management experience. • experience in supporting educational programs related to asperium. employment terms: • initial contract duration: 12 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and available funding. • gross monthly salary for full-time employment (143.33 working hours per month): ?3,060.94 to ?5,994.06, depending on experience, qualifications, and specific duties. • the salary includes the 13th-month payment where applicable. deductions for contributions to government funds will apply. application package requirements: • letter of interest: a statement outlining your motivation for applying to the specific position. • full cv: include details of your previous research experience, peer-reviewed publications, and academic achievements. • copies of degrees: provide copies of your bachelor's, master's, and phd degrees. • references: include the names and contact details of two referees who can provide recommendation letters. how to apply: interested candidates should submit their application by friday, october 25th, 2024, via email to assoc. prof. dr panagiotis e. keivanidis, p.keivanidis@cut.ac.cy . please include the position code (asp2024-1 or asp2024-2) in your email subject line. the device technology and chemical physics laboratory is fully aligned with the equality plan of the cyprus university of technology, promoting gender balance and equal opportunities in research and academia. |
