香港中文大學(xué)激光計量與生物醫(yī)學(xué)實驗室博士招生
We have immediate full Ph.D. scholarships in the areas of optical imaging, light microscopy, computational imaging, and label-free bioimaging at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). The admitted students will be enrolled in August 2024 in the Department of Biomedical Engineering Department at CUHK. A four-year full scholarship will be provided to each admitted student with a monthly stipend of >HK$ 18,000 as well as medical insurance. About the PI: Renjie Zhou is an Associate Professor of Department of Biomedical Engineering and Assistant Dean (Research) of Faculty of Engineering at CUHK, where he directs the Laser Metrology and Biomedicine Laboratory (LAMB). He received PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2014 and undertook postdoctoral training at MIT between 2014-2017. His research interest is in developing optical precision instruments for various research and industrial applications. He has published > 100 journal and conference papers and filed over 10US/China patents with several licensed to industry. He has been involved inorganizing > 20 international conferences as co-chairs/committee members, delivered >40 conference invited talks and seminars/colloquiums, and reviewed for >30 international journals. He is currently serving on the editorial boards of JOSA A, IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, and International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing. He is a Senior Member of Optica and SPIE. He received the Croucher Innovation Awards in 2019 from the Croucher Foundation and the Young Scientist Award at PIERS 2023 conference organized by the Electromagnetics Academy.
LAMB lab introduction: The lab has a team of 15 researchers of mainly postdocs and graduate students with disciplines in optics, physics, biology, and computer science. The lab is focused on developing cutting-edge optical imaging technologies, including quantitative phase microscopy, super-resolution microscopy, deep-learning assisted microscopy, optical diffraction tomography, and their applications in biology, medicine, and material testing. The lab is equipped with state-of-the-art instruments and platforms, such as high-precision optical tables, fully automatic light microscopes, supercontinuum laser light source, femtosecond laser source, high speed cameras, digital micromirror devices, spatial light modulators, high-end objective lenses, etc. The lab has established long-term close cooperative relations with many top universities, including Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford,Nanyang Technological University, Zhejiang University, etc.
課題組負責人介紹:周仁杰,香港中文大學(xué)生物醫(yī)學(xué)工程學(xué)系副教授,工程學(xué)院助理院長(研究);OPTICA 與SPIE學(xué)會高級會員;對定量相位顯微(QPM)與光學(xué)衍射層析成像(ODT)進行了系統(tǒng)而深入的研究;近5年榮獲裘槎基金會 “裘槎前瞻科研大獎”(2019年)、美國電磁科學(xué)院“青年科學(xué)家獎” (2023年)等科研獎勵。早前于麻省理工學(xué)院G. R. Harrison光譜實驗室、伊利諾伊大學(xué)爾巴納-香檳分校Beckman 研究所、亞利桑那大學(xué)James Wyant光學(xué)中心等光學(xué)領(lǐng)域世界前沿科研機構(gòu)從事相關(guān)研究工作,期間榮獲SPIE 2012 Optics & Photonics Education Scholarship、P. D. Coleman 研究優(yōu)秀獎、Yuen T. Lo研究優(yōu)秀獎、Beckman Institute Fellowship等獎勵。發(fā)表SCI論文近60篇,包括通訊或第一作者(含共同)發(fā)表于Nature Photonics、Light: Science & Applications、Advanced Photonics、Lasers & Photonics Review、Additive Manufacturing等高水平期刊,最高單篇研究論文被引439次;發(fā)表國際會議論文50余篇,做國際會議特邀報告20余次,大學(xué)/科研機構(gòu)邀請報告30余次;申請/獲批11項美國/中國/國際專利。現(xiàn)擔任IEEE Photonics Technology Letters、JOSA A、International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing期刊編委, IEEE Transactions on Computational Imaging等期刊特刊編委;擔任國際會議光學(xué)成像主題研討會/分會聯(lián)合主席或編委20余次,包括SPIE Quantitative Phase Imaging、Emerging Digital Micromirror Device Based Systems and Applications等。
LAMB實驗室介紹:現(xiàn)有博士后、博士生、科研助理15余人,專業(yè)涵蓋光學(xué)、光電子、精密儀器、分子生物等眾多學(xué)科;研究領(lǐng)域涉及無標記光學(xué)成像、定量相位顯微、干涉顯微測量、光學(xué)衍射層析、超分辨光學(xué)顯微、計算光學(xué)、量子成像及其在活體生物成像與納米材料檢測領(lǐng)域的應(yīng)用開發(fā)。實驗室擁有完善的光學(xué)成像與測量實驗硬件,包括飛秒激光器、深紫外激光光源、超連續(xù)激光光源、光纖激光器、超高速相機、高靈敏度相機、短波紅外相機、高分辨率數(shù)字微鏡器件、空間光調(diào)制器、長工作距離高數(shù)值孔徑物鏡、高精度光學(xué)平臺等;此外,還具備細胞培養(yǎng)平臺、高性能計算機與顯卡、全自動顯微鏡等基礎(chǔ)研究科研設(shè)備。實驗室具備國際化視野,與美國麻省理工學(xué)院、美國斯坦福大學(xué)、新加坡南洋理工大學(xué)、浙江大學(xué)等高校實驗室建立了長期且密切的合作;同時,高度注重研究與產(chǎn)業(yè)結(jié)合,產(chǎn)生的技術(shù)專利已孵化出一家初創(chuàng)公司。此外實驗室所在的香港中文大學(xué)環(huán)境優(yōu)雅,俯瞰吐露港,是全港最寬廣、最綠意盎然的校園。為滿足學(xué)習(xí)與生活所需,校內(nèi)有齊備的設(shè)施 ,包括一流的圖書館,另有文物館、音樂廳、游泳池、運動場、網(wǎng)球場、壁球場、水上活動中心和健身室等;所在生物醫(yī)學(xué)工程專業(yè)在2023年世界大學(xué)學(xué)術(shù)排名名列全球TOP 20,近3年來穩(wěn)居香港第一。
