PhD Studentships in Anticancer Drug Discovery and Development Prof. Guangyu Zhu of the Department of Chemistry at the City University of Hong Kong, ranked top 70 in the QS World University Rankings, is offering PhD studentships, Postdoc, and Research Assistant positions, available immediately. Research in the Zhu Lab lies at the interface of chemistry and biology in the areas of anticancer drug discovery and development, drug delivery, and chemical biology. 朱光宇教授目前的研究領(lǐng)域包括新型抗癌藥物的合成和機(jī)制研究，以及利用納米藥物載體提高抗癌藥的生物活性。在鉑類(lèi)抗癌藥物合成和作用機(jī)理方面掌握了一整套獨(dú)到的研究技術(shù)。已在 Nat. Chem., Nat. Synth., Nat. Calal., Sci. Adv., Chem, JACS, Angew. Chem. Intl. Ed., PNAS, Cancer Research 等期刊發(fā)表100余篇有關(guān)抗癌藥物合成和作用機(jī)理的研究論文(具體情況請(qǐng)見(jiàn) https://www.zhulab.com)。朱光宇教授現(xiàn)任中國(guó)化學(xué)會(huì)青年化學(xué)工作者委員會(huì)委員、亞洲生物無(wú)機(jī)化學(xué)執(zhí)委會(huì)委員、中國(guó)生物無(wú)機(jī)化學(xué)執(zhí)委會(huì)委員、香港城市大學(xué)化學(xué)系博士課程主任、以及多個(gè)期刊的編委會(huì)委員。 Qualifications: PhD applicants should have 1) a Bachelor’s degree from a top university with GPA higher than 80/100; a Master’s degree is preferred; 2) an acceptable grade on English test (TOEFL 79, or CET-6 490, or IELTS 6.5); 3) a strong research background and publication record in organic/inorganic synthesis or in vivo evaluation of anticancer complexes using animal models; 4) the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and a good command of English, both oral and written. Interested applicants should send 1) CV including a publication list and grade on English test; 2) transcripts; 3) a summary of past research experience to guangzhu@cityu.edu.hk.
