A postdoctoral fellow position in biosensors or biomedical engineering is opened at University of Massachusetts at Amherst (UMass Amherst), USA. The candidate is expected to conduct research and development of Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) devices for in vitro diagnosis (IVD). The candidate must have hands-on experience and strong background in paper lateral flow assays or microfluidic devices. Any experience in following areas is plus: proteins, nucleic acids, ELISA, PCR, and nanomaterials synthesis. Industrial experience is desirable but not necessary. It would be an asset but not necessary if the candidate has expertise in one of the following areas: nanomaterials, microfabrication, biochemistry, analytical chemistry, biology, biomaterials, in vitro or in vivo bio-imaging, drug delivery, photodynamic therapy, plasmon, fluorescence, and surface-enhanced Raman scattering.
