specialist in animal science position snapshot location: lausanne, switzerland company: nestlé research act. rate: full-time act. rate 100% type of contact: permanent contract genuine opportunities for career and personal development modern “smart office” locations providing agile & collaborative workspaces dynamic international working environment attractive additional benefits the recruitment will be entirely driven by the fit between the individual competencies and the requirements of the job. each candidate whose skills match best the requirements of the role will be considered. position summary nestlé research is based in lausanne, switzerland, employs approximately 1000 people and is comprised of five nestlé institutes: material sciences; health sciences, food safety & analytical sciences, packaging sciences and agriculture sciences. please have a tour of our facilities using this link or read more about nestlé research at our website. as a “specialist in animal science”, you will lead and execute soil science research and innovation - in line with the overall agricultural science strategy we offer a dynamic, inclusive, and international working environment with many opportunities across different companies, functions, and regions. don’t miss the opportunity to join us and work with different teams in an agile and diverse context. a day in the life of a specialist in animal science: gather, interpret, and evaluate information about ruminant science, dairy husbandry, and dairy ╟ livestock production systems, including the fundamentals of the subject, such as the biological, chemical and physical aspects of animal science and husbandry, and their spatial and temporal variability across the dairy-livestock production system landscape. using the information obtained from this analysis, you'll inform and influence on diverse issues such as ruminant nutrition, dairy production, enteric methane emissions, carbon and nitrogen cycles and rumen ecology. research reports and make presentations on findings, including scientific research papers and non-scientific reports interpretation of animal science to inform company policy. integration of animal science knowledge into aspects of ruminant nutrition and husbandry, role of dairy ╟ livestock in ecosystems and regenerative agriculture. keep up to date with developments in animal science and related areas, as well as environmental issues and legislative changes. attendance at conferences to keep abreast of the latest developments and to network with people in the profession and in related industries; proposals and bids for new research projects and funding, make presentations, and give seminars. liaison and collaboration with members of the nias and other nr institutes. build an effective network of agricultural r&d organization and other partners and supervise the implementation of r&d workplans and kpi delivery. liaise, coordinate, and align on nestlé's agricultural research projects' strategy with the project leads on agricultural r&d and ensure the required reporting. support the implement nestle's agricultural r&d projects globally and support and facilitate external trials with farmers, governmental organizations, and other partners. what will make you successful msc level animal scientists with global experience in the development and implementation of r&d in animal nutrition, dairy - livestock production or agriculture. at least ten years’ experience in animal science and agriculture. degree in animal science or animal science-related discipline. in particular, the following subjects may increase your chances: animal nutrition, rumen microbiology, animal husbandry, livestock production systems. good understanding of global animal science issues, proven scientific track record an advantage partnership and stakeholder interaction. fluent in english, spanish and/or french would be a plus. at nestlé, we want to help shape a better and healthier world, inspire people to live healthier lives and deliver impact at a scale and pace that makes a difference. we do this by fostering a diverse, friendly, supportive, and collaborative environment, that creates positive disruption, embraces innovation, and empowers people and teams to win. we aim to hire friendly, respectful, inspiring people who care about the people’s lives that we touch every single day. be a force for good. join nestlé and visit us on www.nestle.com 鏈接https://jobdetails.nestle.com/jo ... ecialist/824579501/ |
