新加坡國(guó)立大學(xué)博后招聘:微機(jī)械/加工和微流動(dòng)(實(shí)驗(yàn)崗)和流體力學(xué)(計(jì)算/理論崗)

Two postdoctoral research fellow positions (one experimental and the other numerical/theoretical) are available at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Both positions are for two years and can start immediately (upon completion of necessary administrative processes). The extension is possible based on funding availability. 1) The experimental research fellow will work with Dr Lailai Zhu (www.lailaiflow.com) and Prof. Chwee Teck Lim (https://ctlimlab.org). The candidate will work on applying optimal control and machine learning to microfluidics and micro-robots. He/she will mainly conduct experiments in Prof. Lim’s Lab and collaborate with Dr Zhu on interfacing the control or machine learning algorithms with experiments. 2) The numerical/theoretical research fellow is expected to have experience employing numerical simulations and/or theory and/or machine learning techniques in the general areas of fluid mechanics, soft matter, or active matter. The candidates for the research fellow positions should have: • (For the experimental fellow) A Ph.D. degree in materials science, chemistry, biology, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or biomedical engineering or its equivalent; • (For the experimental fellow) Experience in microfluidics and microtechnology research, microfabrication, microscopy, and image analysis; • Highly motivated, organized, and responsible individuals who can work independently as well as part of a team; • Be prepared to engage in interdisciplinary research and even develop new research directions; • Proven record of outstanding written, oral presentation, and communications skills; • Excellent skills in project management.
