朋友課題組招聘博后一位,具體信息如下: The new laboratory of Living matter and biophysics, UNAM is looking for a post-doctoral scholar. UNAM, National Nanotechnology Research Center and Institute of Materials Science and Nanotechnology is the first ranked national lab in Turkey in the field of nanotechnology and material sciences located in Bilkent University, Ankara. The successful candidate will work for 2 years in the new laboratory of Living matter and biophysics, established since January 2021. Project description: Understanding cellular uptake of nanoparticles is central to many biological processes such as endocytosis, and internalization of viral particles, relevant for viral infection. Although the internalization of single nanoparticles with different shapes is well understood, the cooperative interactions of particles and kinetics of the uptake process is not clear. The nonequilibrium wrapping of nanoparticles is relevant for the infection rate of viral particles such as Covid-19 virus. The Postdoctoral scholar will perform simulations of a triangulated membrane interacting with a spherical nanoparticle to understand the kinetics of nanoparticle wrapping in a non-equilibrium process. The Candidate should have a PhD in engineering, physics, chemistry, in particular with a theoretical and computational background, and should possess following skills. Qualifications: • Good knowledge of a programming language such as C, Fortran, Julia, Python, Matlab, and etc. Being familiar with C is a plus • Knowledge of Molecular Dynamics and Monte Carlo simulations is an asset • Good communication skills of spoken and written English Salary: according to the Turkish standard for fully funded pots-doctoral scholar. An extra housing allowance is paid by University.
