招聘信息如下： 新加坡國立大學(xué)物理系/機械工程系招收博士后2名 1) postdoctoral research fellow in machine learning and first-principles modeling a postdoctoral research fellow position is open immediately in the department of physics, national university of Singapore. successful candidate is expected to work with a team of experimentalists and computational materials scientists. the project is to adapt ai techniques such as deep learning in analysis of materials properties and to accelerate the design of new 2d functional materials, such as thermoelectric materials. candidates should have a ph.d degree in physics, materials science or a closely related field (awarded or to be awarded soon). he / she must be well versed in the research areas such as high-throughput calculations, deep learning models, and thermoelectric materials. they should also have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and able to guide undergraduate students. successful candidate is expected to perform high-throughput calculations based on density functional theory (dft), database development, and develop deep learning models. experience in dft-based calculations and deep learning modeling is required. in addition, experiences in matlab, python, fortran, and in study of thermoelectric materials are preferred. 2) postdoctoral research fellow in first-principles modeling of geometrical quantum materials a postdoctoral research fellow position is open immediately in the department of physics, national university of singapore. successful candidates will work in a large team of experimentalists and theorists in the study of geometrical quantum materials. he/she is expected to perform first-principles calculations to (i) design geometrical quantum materials (ii) to provide theoretical understanding for interesting experimental discoveries, and (iii) to test hypotheses and verify theoretical predictions prior to experimental synthesis. candidates should have a ph.d degree in physics, materials science or a closely related field (awarded or to be awarded soon), with a good understanding of theories and methods in condensed matter physics. he/she must be well versed in research areas such as topological materials, first-principles calculations based on density functional theory and beyond, and excellent communication skills (in english), both oral and written. experience in collaboration with experimentalists and theorists is highly desirable. nus provides excellent opportunities for career development. the salary structure is internationally competitive. other benefits include health insurance, vacation/medical leave, central provident fund for Singapore citizen and permanent residence, and access to all university facilities. applicants should submit a detailed curriculum vitae, including a list of publications, and the names and contact information of four professional references (including phd supervisor) to: prof. yuan ping Feng department of physics national university of Singapore 2 science drive 3, Singapore 117551 email: phyfyp@nus.edu.sg https://www.physics.nus.edu.sg/staff/fengyp.html submission of softcopy of the above documents by email is acceptable for initial processing. we will begin reviewing submissions immediately and will continue to do so until the positions are filled. only shortlisted candidates will be informed. 馮元平教授，是亞太材料科學(xué)院院士，美國物理學(xué)會會士，兼新加坡國立大學(xué)先進2d材料中心理論組主任，并擔(dān)任國際材料聯(lián)合會（iumrs）執(zhí)行委員、新加坡材料研究學(xué)會副主席等職務(wù)，于2013年獲新加坡“楊振寧新移民科學(xué)技術(shù)獎”。長期從事材料物理性質(zhì)第一性原理計算和材料設(shè)計的研究。在新材料遴選與預(yù)測以及二維材料數(shù)據(jù)庫的構(gòu)建等方面，取得顯著成果。在包括phys. rev. lett.、pnas、j. am. chem. soc.、adv. mater.、phys. rev. b等多個國際著名學(xué)術(shù)期刊發(fā)表學(xué)術(shù)論文，論文被引用20000余次，h因子為72，是本領(lǐng)域國際高被引科學(xué)家之一。 具體可參考如下網(wǎng)頁： --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 馮元平教授個人主頁如下： https://www.physics.nus.edu.sg/phyfyp/ 馮元平教授課題組主頁如下： https://2dmaterials.nus.edu.sg/feng/ 馮元平教授researchid如下： https://publons.com/researcher/1376559/yuan-ping-feng/ 馮元平課題組構(gòu)建的二維材料數(shù)據(jù)庫如下 https://www.2dmatpedia.org/ |
