（代發(fā)）香港大學(xué)招收材料表面量子探測交叉學(xué)科方向博士（全獎）

the lab (precision biosensing & biophysics laboratory@hku) in department of electrical and electronic engineering at the university of hong kong launched in november 2018. the pbb lab is operating at the interfaces of physics, engineering, chemistry, biology and medicine. the group are currently focusing on developing next-generation precision biosensing techniques (e.g., quantum sensing through optically addressable centers in diamond) together with the state-of-the-art super-resolution imaging, and scanning probes techniques. the developed platforms are aiming for understanding the issues of bio-magnetism and bio-mechanics both in vitro and in vivo. we are looking for phd candidates who are interested in multidisciplinary research topics. the successful candidates are expect to have backgrounds in physics, engineering or other related area. particularly, the experiences on optical microscopy and programming (e.g., python) are highly appreciated. expertise in quantum mechanics, solid state physics, nano-optics, data processing and modeling would be an advantage (but not required). there are many opportunities offered by hku for phd programmes in 2020-21, the fellowships/scholarships are as following: -hku presidential phd scholarship (hku-ps): ~hk$404,000 per year -hong kong phd fellowship (hkpf) scheme: ~hk$309,600 per year -university postgraduate fellowships (upf): ~hk$225,460 per year -postgraduate scholarships (pgs): ~hk$207,960 per year by now there are totally 8 researchers working in the lab, including 2 phd, 1 mphil, 2 ra, 2 undergraduate and 1 postdoc, and the group website (under construction) is coming soon. interested applicants, who have commitment and enthusiasm to scientific research, are welcome to reach Dr. Zhiqin Chu (lourence009@gmail.com, please reference “PhD application” in the subject line) for more information. dr. zhiqin chu (principal investigator) assistant professor in biomedical engineering department of electrical and electronic engineering, faculty of engineering (https://www.eee.hku.hk/people/zqchu/) joint appointment with school of biomedical sciences, li ka shing faculty of medicine (https://www.sbms.hku.hk/staff/zhiqin-chu) the university of hong kong |
