此招聘已截止 the newly established khalifa university of science and technology (ku) (http://www.kustar.ac.ae) in abu dhabi, united arab emirates (uae) is aiming to become a world-class, research-intensive institution, seamlessly integrating research and education to produce world leaders and critical thinkers in engineering and applied science. the university endeavors to be a leader among research-intensive universities of the 21st century, while catalyzing the growth of abu dhabi and the uae’s rapidly developing knowledge economy. currently ku is ranked 28 among top universities in asia by the (https://www.timeshighereducation ... king#survey-answer) media coverage on ku can also be found from the following link http://lx.huanqiu.com/cooperation/2019-05/14883635.html a postdoc position is available on “surface engineered nano materials for oil produced water treatment” (合成納米晶體用于石油生產水處理) the project duration is 2.5-3 years; contract will be renewed every 12 month, subject to performance evaluation. successful candidate should have a phd degree in chemistry or materials science or chemical engineering or materials engineering. he/she should have a good track record of quality journal publication as first author, with demonstrated skills in nanomaterials synthesis and advanced characterization, and should have solid knowledge on various transport phenomenon and interfacial surface energy of materials. also, experience involving mass and heat transfer analysis of the materials is preferred. tasks to be carried out: • to prepare and conduct chemical synthesis of nanomaterials: surface engineered nano-crystals • to conduct analysis involving chemistry, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and various transport phenomenon • to conduct characterization experiments by using a range of advanced instruments • to interpret the data in relation to mass and heat transfer, surface energy of the materials • to write scientific document reporting the methods, results and discussion for publication • to work harmoniously in a team environment with a helpful working attitude to students • to help the lead professor in laboratory house-keeping and basic maintenances salary and benefits: ~usd 78k per annum, tax free (to be paid in local currency), plus health insurance, round trip flight tickets from home country and return. interested party please contact: professor linda zou linda.zou@ku.ac.ae [ Last edited by kliao on 2019-7-1 at 10:18 ] |
