She joined RMIT in late 2014 as Vice-Chancellor Research Fellow after she completed the Endeavour Fellowship in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Melbourne. Her research focuses on micro/nanodroplets and nanomaterials. The representative research has been published in top journals, including Advanced Materials, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Small and Lab on a Chip. Her work has accumulated over a thousand citations with three highly cited papers (top 1% of the academic field of Materials Science, Essential Science Indicators, Web of Science).
