菜鳥求各位指點(diǎn)-英國留學(xué)博士自費(fèi) 已有1人參與

 本人比較菜，還沒水平申請啥博士獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金目前發(fā)表的也只有1篇sci if=1.3，兩篇還在寫。 本碩四非大學(xué)，自己的國內(nèi)老板聯(lián)系了一個(gè)英國前百墊底的大學(xué)，聯(lián)系了比較久了。 原本想著短期先去學(xué)�？纯矗咔榫蜎]去了，我直接跟對方老師說想申請他的博士，他的回復(fù)如下： Dear XXX Thanks, this is excellent. Could you send me your CV for reference? I do not have funding at the minute but this may change. Do you think it would be possible for you to find funding to come as a visiting student for a year so we could start working together and then transition to a PhD as funding becomes available? This should not introduce a delay for your graduation as in XXX the main criteria for graduation is journal papers as first author so we could work on those while being a visiting student and then use them for your PhD with us once registered. Let me know 然后因?yàn)檫@個(gè)我自己自費(fèi)一下，作為一個(gè)visiting student，學(xué)費(fèi)我看了下是1800左右英鎊一年，然后生活費(fèi)我就打算自己來（自己一般一年的私活能拿到的平均在5-6w人民幣），父母資助一部分，再和一家公司談?wù)勝Y助。按照這樣的情況，我告知了對方教授，他回復(fù)如下： Dear XXX Sorry, the previous email somehow never arrived. Can you send me the name/email you contacted in admissions so I can follow up? =====然后他CC了另外一個(gè)老師，我不認(rèn)識 Dear AAA XXX is a PhD student form a research collaboration in China. We are interested in him doing a placement with us for 1 year. He will not undertake courses during this period but focus on scientfiic collaborations with us. Can you advise on the fees, if any, for such circumstances? I would appreciate if we can waive the fees in these circumstances. LindaJ and I have been working with X University for some time to develop a exchange program and this would have been covered under those agreements if we had that in place already. 對方導(dǎo)師是一個(gè)Chair，從簡歷上來看文章真的很多，頭銜也挺不錯(cuò)。但我比較關(guān)心，即便我挺過了這一年的visiting，第二年我還沒確定他能不能給我funding，。。哎。。。各位能夠談?wù)勛约旱目捶�。謝謝各位。 |
